Atlantic Biochar

Atlantic Biochar is a large‑scale producer of sustainable biochar that converts waste biomass into stable carbon‑rich material for long‑term soil storage. Operating its first facility in Morocco, the company aims to initially generate 15,000–20,000 tCO₂e of durable carbon removals annually and supplies high‑integrity carbon credits. By developing and owning durable carbon‑dioxide‑removal infrastructure.

Atlantic Biochar directly tackles climate change through long‑duration CDR rather than avoided‑emissions crediting. The business is just starting out, with plans to replicate additional units across Morocco, and then continental Africa, as demand and financing grow.
