The country provides the right balance of biomass resources, agricultural demand, and engineering expertise to enable durable carbon removal and soil regeneration.
Our project aligns with Morocco’s broader industrial decarbonization agenda—a national priority. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce identifies decarbonization as a key driver of competitiveness, while UNIDO’s Morocco roadmap connects it directly to the country’s Long-Term Low-Carbon Strategy 2050 and National Climate Plan 2030.
Atlantic Biochar’s Morocco flagship will show how agricultural waste can become a climate‑positive industrial input—restoring soils, cutting emissions through circular processes, and strengthening long-term resilience across farming systems in Morocco and, over time, throughout West Africa.
